Bullguard Review – Is it Worth the Price?
Bullguard is a comprehensive security suite that is all-encompassing. It’s not as comprehensive however, it’s an excellent package for those who want to make the most of their anti-virus software. It also does a great job with resources, avoiding heavy system loads and offering several options to reduce its load in the event of need.
The program starts with an open-ended hub that has an organized layout of its modules. These include firewalls, antivirus PC tune-ups, game boosters, and home network scanners. The «Vulnerabilities’ section will alert you to problems such as missing Windows updates, autostart service and open ports. In our tests, the bullguard was pretty effective at blocking malware infections. It also was fairly light on system resources compared to other products in terms of CPU use. However, we did notice that the background processes of the antivirus ate up a fair amount of RAM, particularly on systems with a limited amount of memory. Additionally, elements of the hub application appeared like they were pixelated when displayed on high-resolution screens.
Bullguard offers a mobile security feature as part of its Premium Protection subscription, which provides antitheft protection, parental control and basic backup capabilities for your smartphone or tablet. The app is a bit basic and does not include some vital features, like webcam security or shredders for your files. The only way to contact support via phone is via live chat or email.
