Objetivo General
To strengthen the potato germplasm identification in Chile using SSRs technology and to develop cheap and quick protocols of DNA isolation adapted to the national actually.
Objetivos Específicos
- To establish a unique DNA profile for all the potato varieties described in Chile, using an informative SSRs group in pseudomultiplex PCR condition
- To design a tissue sampling system adapted to conventional protocol of identification and to improve quick and cheap protocols of DNA isolation.
- To develop methods of DNA isolation for industry potato products.
- To adapt a technology for variety mixture detection using for PCR DNA from combined samples of tissue.
- To compare DNA profiles in a strategic group of the in vitro and in field potato collection to estimate the efficiency of the potato germplasm management in the INIA-Remehue.
