Objetivo General

To determine the key small RNA molecules leading to major DNA methylation events taking place during flower bud dormancy in the sweet cherry genome and evaluate them as methylation inducers.

Objetivos Específicos

  • To establish a complete set of small RNAs up- and down-regulated during flower bud dormancy.
  • To determine methylation patterns in candidate small RNA-targeted DNA regions.
  • To develop a proof-of concept for sRNA dormancy-associated induced methylation.
